Answers for Team Leaders

I want to lead a trip. What do I need to do?

  1. To start, we need information from you. Please e-mail the following:
    • Campus name & location

    • Where you are going

    • How many students and leaders will be participating
      * If you know all the names, please include the list of names

    • An e-mail or invitation letter from the missionary or A/G minister that you are working with (This could be an informal note of correspondence that you have already received in which they have acknowledged that they know you are coming.)

    • The missionary's full name

    • The nature of the ministry taking place

    • The exact dates

  2. Then please make sure that your insurance covers every single day of the trip. For example, if your trip is March 8-15, this trip is actually 8 days not seven though if you just look at the numbers it appears to be seven. The insurance amount must cover every day your group is together on a Chi Alpha trip. Insurance fees must be paid for each person.

  3. Send in an application for each person along with a $15 application fee. Please remember that the Campus leaders or trip leaders that are campus interns do not have to pay the $15 application fee. Everyone else must, including student leaders.

What part of the application does the team leader need to send in?

  1. The first page of the application with all of the pertinents

  2. The assumption of risk form

  3. The notarized liability release

  4. A passport copy

  5. Money to cover insurance fees only (not the application fee)
