"Revival is simply God overrunning or immersing a whole area, city or people
group in His presence so that holiness, evangelism and miracles are the staple diet of the whole
community." - Pastor Kaj Martin
Russia, one of the world's largest nations, is home to 5.5
million Tartar people. Regrettably, the "forced conversions" of the 16 th century still affect
these peoples' view of Christianity. Pray that Christ would come "leaping and bounding over the
mountains" in Russia to bring light and hope to the Tartar people.
About 10 million Tajiks live in Tajikistan and its
surrounding countries. Less than 1 percent of them know Jesus and view Christianity as a form of
Soviet influence and imposition. Although religious freedom is now growing, many children are
turning to the only faith they know - Islam. Pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
Pray also for encounters with Jesus among Tajiks through dreams and visions, revealing to these
people that true freedom comes only through life in Christ Jesus.
Nepal, a nation unreached until the 1950s, remains a restricted
area for missionaries from America. Within its borders, girls are kidnapped or unwittingly sold by
their families into the sex slave trade in India. Others are deceived into believing they will
find better job opportunities. Currently around 100,000 girls, many under 18 years old, are forced
to work as prostitutes. Pray for God to open a door of escape from the bonds of evil men, for a
restoration of families and for humanitarian groups to be developed to provide jobs for communities
in Nepal.
