spotlight on: INDONESIA
by David Thompson and Derek Kistner
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and
be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked
men; for not all have faith.
(2 Thessalonians 3:1,2, NKJV)
Indonesia, the largest Muslim nation in the world, is in need of a visitation
of God. Measures of revival fire have burned is some areas in the past, but a fresh awakening is
needed to turn the Indonesian people to the Lord Jesus. Agreement with God through intercession
is vital in this hour to open the heavens and bring multitudes in this nation "out of darkness and
into His marvelous light."
PRAY...
Contention exists between Muslims and Christians across Indonesia. In some areas this has
led to bloodshed, leaving thousands dead and many families displaced. Pray that God would
supernaturally protect Christians, and that peace would reign in the land.
Sumatra, Indonesia's largest island, has many unreached and unevangelized areas. Pray that
God would raise up anointed workers to bring the gospel to areas of this island.
Indonesian Christians are committed to spreading the gospel. Pray that these messengers
would continue to be refreshed in their diligent labor and that their preaching would be accompanied
by miracles, signs and wonders.
Pray for Indonesia's college students. A strong number are Christians. Pray that these
students would mature in their walk with Christ and have a wholehearted passion for the Lord.
Nearly half of the country lives in poverty. Pray that believers will reach the poor of
Indonesia with the gospel message through their words and deeds.
