Prayer for Asia Pacific

By Russ Turney - Asia Pacific AGWM Regional Director

Dear Jesus-

We come to you today and ask your forgiveness for the way we as your children have been slow to take your word to the peoples of this earth. We ask the Holy Spirit to help us stand in the gap on behalf of the least-reached of Asia Pacific.

We pray for the Madurese, Banjar, Tausug, Cham, Malay and Southern Thai and ask that you would call and send forth laborers to share the Good News with them. We ask that the local churches in their countries would have eyes to see them that your children would reach out to them in love. Open their eyes that they can understand your good news and become your followers.

We pray for people groups that have been long resistant to you: the Japanese, Thai, Lao, Bama, Mongols, Taiwanese and Khmer. Pour out your blessing on the small church movements that exist in these places, send your Spirit to strengthen the believers and those cross-cultural workers who work with them so that they can proclaim the gospel with boldness and signs and wonders.

Jesus, in some parts of Asia there are many believers. We ask that you would help to mobilize them to reach out across cultural boundaries to preach the gospel where it has never been heard.

Use believers in Korea, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore to join hands with local Christians in going to the least-reached. Give them a spirit of unity, cooperation and intecession as they go forth.

"Nothing will ever be attempted if all possible objections must first be overcome ."
- Samuel Johnson
